This is "Denver City Golf Course". Wow, exciting name. This is an example of how I like to paint in oils. I think of it as modern impressionism. The paintng is 30" x 12" oil on canvas. I will be hanging this at Stella's Coffee House on South Pearl St. In Denver February 16th. It is for sale as are my 2 longhorns.
These two paintings are 12" x 9" oil on canvas. I will be hanging them at Stella's Coffee House on South Pearl St. in Denver. I've gone back to more traditional style oil painting here. I have finished it off with a high gloss varnish just to mix it up a little. I have a tendency with oils to paint more boldly and thick. My retentive qualities show up when I paint with acrylics. Here I went more retentive. It was fun.
Hello there! Video killed the radio star. Face book killed the blog. Anyway, here is the lovely longhorn that was march down the streets of Denver in January for the stock show. It was so much fun to see the cowboys and cowgirls and their beautiful cattle.
