"Phi Ratio" Or "Proof of God"<br />
<br />
This is "Phi Ratio". 12" X 12" acrylic on canvas.<br />
This was once explained to me by a fellow named Bert Janssen. cropcirclesandmore. He has a wonderful blog about crop circles. The sacred geometry is so amazing. In one of his essays he explains in great detail about squaring the circle and the exact relationship the earth has with the moon.<br />
<br />
I'm entering this painting in the 12" square show at The Mortgage West building on South Pearlin Denver. It's to benefit feeding needy horses.<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
"Yellow Rose" 8" x 10" acrylic on canvas. I hung it at Stella's Coffee House. I have about twenty pieces showing there right now through Christmas.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This fall rose was in beautiful bloom when I captured it with my camera. I painted with a clear acrylic gel which is something I had not done before. It created depth and texture that this photo is not revealing.</div>

This painting is going to The Mortgage West building on South Pearl in Denver. Susan Bell has a show for 1' x 1' pieces opening in December. Each piece is going for $200.00 each. The proceeds will be going for a fund that feeds horses. Pretty cool.<br />
<br />
This is 12" x 12" acrylic on canvas. I used a high gloss gel medium to create depth and texture.<br />
<br />
It has been some time since I last posted. I have a show at Stella's Coffee House on South Pearl in Denver that goes down in mid-November 2012.<br />
<br />
This rose was a fall bloom I captured with my amazing digital camera. My rose!<br />

If it was my garden I would have several Red Pione plants to edge the boarders.<br />
<br />
This is my neighbor's pione.<br />
<br />
"Red Pione" is headed for Stella's Coffee House on May 16th. It is a 16" X 20" acrylic on canvas.<br />
<br />
I'm trying hard to finish it's matching partner a pink pione. The two of them together will make it a show!<br />

I guess I could have come up with a better title.<br />
<div>
This is 16" X 20" oil on canvas. The Aurora Artist Guild invited me to do a demonstration for them. I was able to show my technique for painting the famous red rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado. It is such a cool place. My humble brushstrokes cannot possibly define God's hand in this.</div>
<div>
I will be taking this to Stella's Coffee House @ South Pearl in Denver on Tuesday, April 3.</div>

Renye Ress was very talented. About ten years ago, I was fortunate to acquire this painting. I don't know it's title so I call it "Renye's Chair."<br />

It was right before Christmas so I purchased this for my husband. We knew Renye from doing theatre in the Denver area. My memory serves me that when we were around her a lot of laughter transpired.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This is why I could feel her laughing with me when I composed this painting.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It is acrylic, 14" x 11" on canvas. "Renye's Two Chairs" has some elements I borrowed from Renye's painting. You can find it at Stella's Coffee House on February 15th.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Yes, that is a crop circle painting on the wall. The image makes me happy.</div>
<div>
It appeared in Lockenridge, Wiltshire, UK in 2008. It looks simple but it is complex. Crop circles are fascinating. I plan to include them more in the future.</div>

I will be hanging them at Stella's Coffee House on South Pearl St. in Denver. I've gone back to more traditional style oil painting here. I have finished it off with a high gloss varnish just to mix it up a little. I have a tendency with oils to paint more boldly and thick. My retentive qualities show up when I paint with acrylics. Jennifer @ Wonders of Whimsy had been my mentor. I wanted to get into sculpting and making dolls is definitely an avenue. My skills as a painter as well as my designer skills are in use. When it comes to stitching, I'm better at witching. Jen has been showing me how to do everything. I will be putting Samantha up on Ebay this Tues. Sept. 22nd.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_86i5K23fDTM/SrJgTEER3dI/AAAAAAAAAQw/kSYU-0PDIHo/s1600-h/witchpreview.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_86i5K23fDTM/SrJgTEER3dI/AAAAAAAAAQw/kSYU-0PDIHo/s400/witchpreview.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5382470385286634962" /></a>crow productionshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14304451366263286561noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-498431178800860236.post-7180700156824047022009-09-14T11:04:00.000-07:002009-09-14T11:09:26.757-07:00Scary Sam and Very Scary Paisley<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_86i5K23fDTM/Sq6FyS8_4HI/AAAAAAAAAQo/XbvaKgGkQMw/s1600-h/hallosam+paisley.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 296px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_86i5K23fDTM/Sq6FyS8_4HI/AAAAAAAAAQo/XbvaKgGkQMw/s400/hallosam+paisley.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5381385703881957490" /></a>Now for some Halloween paintings. I am so thrilled.<div>Jennifer Carter of Wonders of Whimsy has really shown me the ropes. She helped me make this. We start out with just a cloth pattern. After we stuff it, you take paper clay and form the face. The day she helped me first use the paper clay was so much fun. To get it to the finished doll took a lot of work. What I love about it is I can use my 2-d painting skills on a 3-d piece. I will be thinking about a sewing machine. I have to go now, I'm starting a witch.
